BEGIN AGAIN

The last couple of months have been a bit challenging mentally for me but I’m still here. I was reminded by some people who are close to me how I started to get my degree and quit several times, how I wanted to do certain things, started but never finished it, I have been told some things that made me doubt who I was and my ability to finish things.

While crying and praying to fight feelings of failure I was reminded of something my step father told me years ago. He said “Babygirl you have the ability to bounce back”. At that time I was going through some craziness and He had this way of making me feel like I can take over the world. I do know how to shake “it” off and get back in the ring.

I share because I care.

It doesn’t matter how long it takes for you to finish something or to reach your goals, just don’t quit. It might take you 30 years to get a degree, so what just keep moving forward……….

TENACIOUS!

That word just popped in my head while I was writing and I need to share it with my readers today. If you start, stop, start, stop, start, stop and finally finish no matter how long it takes, you have a tenacious spirit that will not be denied.

I wanted to go to school so bad but every time I started something happened and I couldn’t finish. I wanted to start a community outreach program and something came up and I had to put it on hold. (I am still working on them) I am living and breathing today because of tenacity that has always been there.

I was a single mom raising 3 kids, pulling double duty as mother and father for 20+ years, I am a community advocate that has influence beyond what I can imagine, I am a domestic violence survivor, I bare the healed scars of abortion and have written about  my journey and to this day babies have been saved from abortion and moms healed. I have a voice that speaks loud on behalf of those less fortunate. I am who I am because of the love of God for me.

My loves, keep getting up, keep starting over, keep believing you can finish what you started and one day you will look back and see how far you have become.

Much love,

Black Mama
