WE WILL NEVER FORGET

Remember…

I dropped off my then 5 year old daughter to school like any other day; however, when I got back home and turned the TV on, I swear I thought I was watching a movie. Planes were flying into the World Trade Center and it was devastating.

Reality set in.

Our country was under attack and I felt hollow. Years prior to that dreadful day, I lived in NY and I remembered every place that flashed across the television screen and was in shock.

I began to pray.

The skies were silent and it seemed as if the earth stood still.

Our country came together.

We cried together.

We prayed together.

That single day will always be a day of rememberance til I take my last breath.

Shall we pray?

Let’s….

Much love,

Black Mama
