I remember about 18 or 19 years ago when I was living in Chicago, I had a dream. I wanted to own my very own magazine. It was going to be geared towards single parents in the inner city and touch lives everywhere……
Life happened and I woke up……
A dream deferred
Fast forward to 2020, I woke up this morning and heard “write your dream” and I literally was like”ok later”. As I sit in my bed a tear fell and I realized I was stuck. Stuck in a rut and not sure if I want to try yet again to press towards that dream. My stepfather used to say I had a “bounce back” spirit, no matter what I went through I somehow bounced back. I think I got comfortable with my norm, comfortable with were I am and not really wanting to do anymore because I seem to be doing it alone.
Don’t get me wrong I have people who love me and encourage me when I need it buuuuuuut when I’m home in my domain I just want to say”I’m good and that’s all folks”. Today I’m transparent, I had to push so hard last year that I need a boost my darn self.
I need to write it again
I need to write down my goals and visions again. I need to get back on the saddle again and do it again. I need to believe I can again. I need to inspire again. I need to write again. Last year my blog reached over 1,400 people in 36 countries and that was humbling. This year who know what’s going to happen. As I write, I inspire MYSELF TO PUSH AGAIN.
NEVER STOP WORKING TOWARDS YOUR DREAM
