UNLEASHED

This weekend was an eye opener for me on so many levels. I feel as if I’m at a fork in the road and there is a brick wall on each path. Whichever path I choose I have a wall to break through.

I REMEMBERED WHO I AM

I was blessed to be part of an event this past weekend, where my daddy’s legacy was remembered. James E. Potts was a pioneer in the 60’s, he was the first African American male student to attend Louisiana Tech University. He paved the way for other black students to have a quality education. He took a stand for racial equality. He overcame racism. He overcame fear. He kept moving forward. He made his dent in history.

HIS LEGACY LIVES IN ME

I cried this weekend because I missed my daddy. I cried this weekend because I saw myself not living up to my full potential. I cried because I was given and opportunity to step back, assess where I am and make some adjustments.

Its time to stop playing.

Its time to put up or shut up.

Its my time, its your time, its time.

Unleashed.

Its way overdue and I have nothing to prove to anyone but myself. When you get to a point where change must come……CHANGE!!!

Do what you must and live.

Much love,

Beautiful Black Cat
